1. Hold four director's meetings
annually to conduct association
business.
2. Sponsors the Ohio All-Star Classic at the
Columbus Crew Stadium in June to
showcase Ohio football.
3. Sponsors the Reebok football clinic and awards
banquet in
February of each year.
4. Sponsors the Ohio All-Star Football Classic
Luncheon in February featuring the players and Coaching
Staffs for the North and South Squads.
5. Awards academic scholarships yearly to deserving
young
students with scholarships also
available through participation
in Big 33 Football Classic.
6. Honors head coaches with victory awards and
assistant
coaches with service awards.
7. Has played an intregal part in the expansion of
the football
playoff system from 96 teams to
192 teams in 1999.
8. Sends a team and coaching staff to Hershey, PA
for the Big 33
game in July between Ohio's best
and Pennsylvania's best.
9. Our President represents the coaches at the
OHSAA Board of
Control meetings. This is
very important for our input and helps
us keep tabs on other proposals.
10. The President and Past President attend the National
Rules
Meeting yearly.
11. Our officers serve on the Rules Advisory Committee
for the
OHSAA.
12. Issues honorary memberships into the association to
deserving coaches.
13. Awards the "Art Teynor Award" to the
outstanding player of the
year in Ohio High School
Football each season.
14. Works with experimental rules, based on need.
15. Obtained permission to attend and hold summer
football
camps as well as
getting a referendum passed dealing with
the summer passing rules.
16. Responsibile for the return of two
scrimmage option for high schools in the state.
17. Work with Coach Jim Tressel and the
Ohio Staff with their Clinic and Hall of Fame Induction
Banquet.
