The OHSFCA annually presents the Art Teynor Award to the outstanding football player in Ohio. Art Teynor was a long time member of the OHSFCA Board of Directors and a Past President of the association from Tuscarawas Central Catholic High School. the award is named for Art to help keep his name alive in Ohio High School football.

Each year the OHSFCA holds 16 regional meetings to nominate players for the Ohio North/South All-Star Classic and a nominee for the Art Teynor Award. These 16 names are brought to the meeting of the OHSFCA Board of Directors where the board selects the winner. The player selected receives a rotating award at an appropriate school function and a permanent award at the Annual OHSFCA Banquet.
